Title: Mobile Technology for Promotional Marketing
In 2006 wireless subscribers in the United States reached 219.4 million, according to CTIA’s Semi-Annual Wireless Survey. That’s an overwhelming 72% of the country’s population carrying mobile phones – with most having some sort of Internet or email capability.
At this point then, it is only natural that brand marketers and retailers have started thinking about reaching consumers over the mobile channel. And this year the introduction of the widest mobile promotional offering in the US will become available, providing opportunities for brands/marketers to connect with their consumers via mobile like never before.
As such, major consumer packaged goods (CPGs), consumer electronics brands, retailers, restaurants and others will begin to widely use mobile coupons to connect to consumers’ and provide incentives via mobile to stimulate purchases at the point of sale (in-store).
Jeff Weitzman, president and COO of Coupons, Inc., will address this breakthrough and the ability to target customers with coupons/promotions relevant to the customers’ specific geographic locations. Attendees will gain insight on this and other opportunities available for promoting products via the mobile channel and get direction on initiating programs that deliver promotions/coupons directly into the hands of consumers via their mobile phones at the point of sale.
Speaking Topics include:
* Examples of promotions that can be run with mobile coupon technology
* The major features and advantages of allowing consumers to control the interface/interaction with mobile coupons
* How mobile coupons can target consumers while in stores where the coupons can be redeemed – providing additional incentives and motivating purchases at the point of sale
* The valuable consumer data that can be tracked through the use of mobile coupons to provide greater insight into customer habits and preferences - the net effect being the development of higher value promotional programs for the consumer and greater ROI for the retailer
