==> THE WEB ANALYTICS ASSOCIATION ADDED AS ASSOCIATION
SPONSOR
In 2002 I had an amazing experience organizing IMC Vancouver
together with Andrea Hadley of Netsetgo
Marketing. Its a conference that stands out in terms of
quality and experience for myself. Several of the people I
first met during this event, including Jeffrey Eisenberg and
Andrea Hadley was later instrumental in forming the Web Analytics
Association (WAA).
The President for WAA, Jim Sterne, am I happy to be acquainted
with through my speaking engagement in 2001 in Istanbul, Türkey.
Jim Sterne is the mastermind behind Emetrics.org -
an excellent avenue for Web Analytic Professionals.
So if you're a member of WAA, go to your association pages
to receive instructions on how to get your discount to IMC.

==> THE VALUE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS
Nobody questions the value of Social Networks anymore - but
how do you monetize from them? My first encounter with a functional
social network was SearchEngineForums.Com from
the late Jim Wilson.
In the late 90's and in the beginning of this century SEF was
a vibrant place where thousands of people shared ideas and
generated hundreds of businesses every year.
When you're dependent on the users to get content, you have
to lead by example. Jim Wilson wrote articles, posted and was
very active in generating content. In return, people got engaged
and started posting.
Internet.Com had a social network theme and has produced a
couple of quality articles that I'm happy to pass on:
