1. User Experience /Usability with Ben Skelton

In this workshop you will explore a number of tools and techniques that you can integrate into any website project to create a first-class user experience. Dig deep into the key elements of successful user experiences, learn how you can develop easy-to-understand website structures, and discover how you can take your usability tests to the next level. In addition, Ben will review Habañero's best practices for website design and development.

One of Canada’s foremost user experience leaders, Ben Skelton directs Habañero's Websites and eCommerce practice. Ben is responsible for all aspects of the practice including business development, innovation and excellence, and ultimately the final product Habañero delivers. He has extensive knowledge and experience in corporate visioning and strategy, information and interaction design, user interface design, usability engineering, and back-end technology. A member of Habañero’s team since 1999 and the former Director of User Experience, Ben works with many of the company’s high-profile clients. His primary goal for all projects is to deliver real business value to clients and deepen their relationships with customers.

with Patrick Schwerdtfeger

3. Google Analytics 101 with John Hossack, VKI Studios

With so much information, getting started on analytics in a focused manner can be a real challenge. The Google Analytics 101 Training Day is designed to help you understand analytics, set priorities, benchmarks and goals.

John Hossack has, for the past 8 years, been working with companies both large and small to help them improve the performance of their online channels. John’s passions and much of his time are spent focusing on analytics, usability, and conversion testing with the goal of improving user experience and business conversion rates. John is currently a partner at VKI Studios, a Vancouver based performance optimization firm, as well as the President of the International Internet Marketing Association. Prior to getting involved with the web John was a Treasury Manager and currency trader.
